Made for the RICE 2022 contest hosted by Bentovid. The contest has a theme category every year, and this year the theme was "Musical Theater". I'd tried for several months to muster up the enthusiasm to edit with some kind of musical soundtrack, but there are very few musicals I enjoy, and even fewer of those felt suitable for an AMV. A couple of days before the submission deadline for RICE I remembered the contest coordinator had mentioned Repo! was their favourite musical, so I looked up the soundtrack and I actually really liked this particular song off of it. Cue 5 hours of editing madness and I managed to submit the first half of this video to the contest. I eventually finished the second half a couple months later.
Made using Kdenlive on a home brew PC running Ubuntu
