  Anyway, here is the intro video for what was to be the Tekko 2020 AMV Contest. The convention theme was Sports, tying into the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. (Nod to the two Are You Ready promo videos.) Unfortunately, the pandemic pushed both the Olympics and the convention to 2021. The Tekko AMV coordinator and staff decided to carry the contest (and all its assets) over to 2021, since we couldn't be sure if/when the convention would take place. It wasn't until a few weeks before the convention that we found out the theme had been changed to Cyberpunk - at that point, we were too far into the preparations to make any major changes. Sigh...
  
  Anyway, the thought process behind the video was to get the audience hyped for the contest, starting slowly with some shots of the meditative aspects of sports, the fun of sports, building into the intensity of competition, and finishing with the closest of finishes - which, of course, would be determined by the audience. To me, the video is a metaphor for the AMV creation process itself: we edit for fun, we edit to get our ideas out into the world, and some of us eventually reach the point where we want to compete, show our skills off against others.
  
  I really enjoyed making this video. It was a fun challenge trying to hit the beats perfectly, finding camera swoops that matched with the music, expounding on the definition of sports. I hope you all find it enjoyable, too.
