Character profile of Tomoko Kuroki, one of my favorite modern anime characters. She's afflicted with crippling anxiety and social awkwardness, but is also bitter, entitled and narcissistic. She assumed that high school life would automatically make her popular and attractive. She has a weird crush on her best friend Yuu, who seemed to effortlessly achieve the high school "level up".
Radiohead's 1993 anthem for the emo-fedora-neckbeard crowd fits her to a tee.
