  Footage: "The Sea Prince and the Fire Child" (or, "The Legend of Sirius"), a rare, lost classic produced by Sanrio in 1981 (Yes, THAT Sanrio. Before Hello Kitty, they made VERY dark and depressing anime movies, including "Ringing Bell" and "Unico.")
  
  Music: "Aquarius" by Within Temptation.
  
  I apologize for the low quality; at the time, I didn't know that this film was recently re-released after decades out-of-print, and just HAD to create this AMV before my passion faded. So, only low-quality VHS footage was available to me. :( So, I actually recommend keeping it at 640 x 480 and not having it stretch to fit your window. On YouTube, I only uploaded a higher-res version so the audio could be better quality.
  
  When I first heard this song, and at least knew about this anime, I was like: "I bet that'd be a perfect combination! Someone HAS to have done it!" So I checked A-M-V.org, and YouTube, and all over... and was shocked that nobody had done it. But depression overtook me, and my editing days fizzled out.
  
  Fast-forward to now, when I'm finally on meds that seem to be helping, and I actually got to watch this movie. And the combination was even MORE perfect than I'd imagined! I again checked... and was FLABBERGASTED that nobody had STILL done this combination! So I squished and slid my files around until I had just enough harddrive space, and got to work!

  MOVIE INFORMATION:
  I opted to include the long intro, because most people haven't been able to see this anime. And story context is VERY important to understand this AMV.
  
  This anime goes best with the mantra: "Don't think... Just feel!" It doesn't stand up well to scrutiny, and you could easily frustrate yourself with thoughts of "Why don't they just (action)?!" But if you turn off your mind, and turn on your heart, you can ride the Feels Express. Fly on Feels Airlines. Go on a Feels Trip. Et-cetera. ;)
  
  Even though the spoilers are heavy here, there's still a lot of feels left over that I didn't touch in this AMV, like the goal to reach a certain star, Bibble's sub-plot, and Piale's own tragic love story. That last one made me tear up more than the main couple's story did. ;_; But, because I wanted to stick to the song's focus on a woman's love for an entity of the sea, I couldn't really diverge enough to include all those. So, they're there and waiting, if you can even find this forgotten classic...

  TECHNICAL NOTES:
  For some reason, even an uncompressed AVI reduced the intensity of a few of my overlays, and I've already nested one of the sequences in question (during the intro), so I can't fix that. Premiere works in mysterious ways, I guess...
  
  I had to completely fix one of the closing scenes (with Queen Malta carrying Sirius) because it had a terrible flicker. I fixed the first half by duplicating previous/next frames that weren't too bright or too dark. But then I found I could also do it by altering brightness/contrast/gamma on each errant frame, so I did that the rest of the way. Both still took me a good hour or so. It still doesn't look great, but way better than before! (It was one of those pseudo slide-show type scenes, where they have a quick succession of stills fading into each other, rather than regular animation. You know how some older anime like to do that. But they didn't layer it right or something. Soooo yeah, fixing that was one of the biggest jobs here, lol!
  
  I didn't time how long this took to do. About a week of working nearly nonstop all day, every day. I finally got on depression medication that seems to be beginning to work, so my passion for editing returned. And that passion remained throughout this whole project. I feel very good about how it turned out. :3
