After I saw Angel Beats, I immediately wanted to do some AMV to the series. But the challenge was... what song would be as over the top ridiculous as Angel Beats? With so many potential "band sync" scenes, as well as so many action shots and pure randomness... surely some song could live up to the challenge?
Apparently, my soon to be partner in this venture started from the other side. He's been wanting to do a song to Tenacious D's "Tribute" for a long time. After a brief discussion, we both decided that Angel Beats / Tenacious D's Tribute would go well together. And thus, the concept was born.
After working a few months on the video, and submitting it... it turns out that it was good enough to be a Finalist in Otakon! Good luck to all contestants, may the best AMV win!
