Winner of the Anime North 2012 MVC, Momiji's Challenge Award
This video was specifically tailored for the Anime North 2012 MVC, Challenge Category. The challenge that year was to create a video using a song without English or Japanese lyrics. I found a perfect pairing in the classic song 'La Cucarach' with Gokicha, a story about a cockroach in Japan. The only problem was Gokicha is a manga. I had to work painstakingly in Photoshop and Premiere to create an animated source where no animation existed before. I think the result is pretty good in the end. That being said I don't know if I'd attempt to animated another manga for a music video.
