    Undoubtedly the song was very inspiring. It talks about suffering, death who is approaching, and contains an invocation to the supreme divinity 'Sanctus Espiritus, redeem us from our solemn hour'. Pain, sin, death, divinity and the relationship with it, insanity, war, agony. I think that Full metal alchemist contains all of them.
    I though to identify the 'divinity' of the song mainly with Alchemy and the Truth. But also Scar, who thinks to be the hand of god, and a little the Father. However this 'divinity' to whom salvation is asked seem to be the origin of suffering. According to the way alchemy is used, it can bring to ourselves ( the 5 Sacrifices) or to the others (the victims of the ishvalan war and the Lior' s riot, the people sacrificed in order to make the philosopher stone) suffering.
    Edward, Alphonse and Izumi have lost parts of their bodies in order to bring back a dead people. Roy was forced to open the door and lost his sight. Wars made in order to open the door 's of truth made victims, also using alchemy itself. King Bradley is the one who lead the destruction in order to fulfill this supreme task. Scar, victim of this war becomes an avenger who kills the Rockbells, bringing the pain to their daughter. Marcoh, who regret of what he did to Ishval, wants to be punished by Scar. Hohenheim, who was used by the Homunculus to open the doors has to suffer the loss of the population of Xerses. And the question is: 'Is this what we deserve? Can we break free of chains of never ending agony?'

    In the end , since the main duo is Divinity and Suffering, I decide to call this amv Alchemy and Agony.
    Hope you will like it. This is a dedicated to Hiromu Arakawa, who was the creator of such an involving and deep story
