Well, as far as editing this video goes, I tried something a bit different in terms of readying footage. Instead of rewatching the series beforehand, I simply clipped every single scene from there series from start to finish, and kept scenes that were potentially usable in this video. Needless to say this took forever, I ended up not using 90% of what I clipped, and I really don't know if I benefitted from it (hopefully I did). So I'm hoping I was able to make better use of the available footage from NHK, but that's debatable I guess.
My videos are pretty linear. While this video is linear in the sense that it follows the overall story of the series, in an effort to steer from linearity, the slightly-non-linear part I was trying going for here was the way in which the events are presented. But overall it's probably minor, and probably not even discernible.
Just a (semi-facetious) synopsis of the plot of the video:
Intro - nothing really, brief (ooh mysterious) glimpse of the two ladies, hitomi/misaki
Verse1 - Tatsuhiro in hikikomori mode, Misaki jumps in the picture, oooh relationship high
Chorus1 - relationship high-low, "sato cheating on me?!"
Bridge1 - enter hitomi
Verse2 - enter hitomi sex, enter hitomi emo
Chorus2 - honestly I don't know what this is supposed to be, but at the end of it hitomi says a metaphorical "goodbye" to sato
Bridge2 - sato turnaround, runninggg, hi2u misaki, climax, etc.
Bridge3 - reminisce, obligatory "dream" sequence
Chorus3 - recaps sort of, hitomi/misaki
Collision - slightly happy/bittersweet stuff
Last verse/outro - self-explanatory
