• Comments: This is my first AMV. It's an idea that had been festering in the back of my mind for almost a year, but it wasn't until I actually got my hands on some video editing software that I had the chance to make it for real. It turned out waaaay better than I had ever hoped. :)
  
  At first, it was a simple concept: A song about wings and an anime about wings. After I started actually working on it, I realized that the song was matching up really well, not just with the imagery, but with the story of Haibane Renmei as well. ("Take these broken wings and learn to fly again" is exactly what Rakka did (metaphorically) when she was in the well!) Rather than put the scenes in random order, as most AMVs seem to do, I decided to generally put them in chronological order. The end result is an AMV that tells (a simplified version of) the original story of the anime. Nonetheless, this video isn't too spoiler-heavy.

  AVS Video Editor (To actually create the video)
  HandBrake (To correct some resolution issues because AVS is dumb)
  
  The video took me 17 days to make, an estimated 28 hours of work. This is not including the 34 hours that were required for HandBrake to convert the source files. :P
