• Comments: This is my second AMV, and I attempted to take all the comments I got on the last one to heart, hopefully making this video better in both concept and execution.
  
  What Secret World is about, in Peter Gabriel's own words: "Sometimes you see a couple that is so close together it's hard to distinguish which one is which. Bits of them disappear into a space that forms between them. This we can identify as the secret world."
  
  I started out with this concept, and the video bloomed from there. Originally I was going to include footage from all the pairs Soubi and Ritsuka encountered over the course of the series, but I realized as I began the video that the real story wasn't the Fighter/Sacrifice relationship itself, but how that connection affected a pair's day-to-day relationship, and how Soubi and Ritsuka grow as a pair through encounters with others. Breathless was too boring, and Sleepless's entrance too brief, for them to be used consistently through the video.
  
  There are multiple stories going on here - the story of Soubi and Ritsuka's meeting contained in the first verse, Natsuo and Youji's story in the second, Yamato and Kouya's in the third, and the overall story of how the Loveless/Beloved pair come to understand each other and grow closer over the course of the series.
  
  Some technical notes: There are two places where I had to trim the song for length. I love "Secret World" in its entirety, but it was almost six minutes long before I cut it down - and that's excessively long for a video. I tried to make the transitions between the cuts as smooth as possible, but unfortunately there still is an audible skip where the music was trimmed.
  
  Also, I know about the subtitles. I apologize for the subtitles. As of yet, I have not gotten my hands on a program capable of recompiling individual frames back into a video - I am perfectly capable of image editing the subtitles out of a set of frames, but I'm not capable of putting them back together. Eventually, I will remake this video without subtitles.
  
  This was made across a week in Windows Movie Maker. After much blood, sweat, cursing, voodoo dancing, crashing and restarting (I was about ready to sell my firstborn child to get this program to work, I swear), I present Secret Connection.
