::. The Back Story
Okay so first the reason FOR this video. I had been a long time fan of a site called Majin Planet (which I would later end up becoming the webmaster of, but thats another story), its actually the site that got me not only into creating AMVs but also websites in general. My website at the time was called Trunks Hope and I wanted more then anything at that time to be as good as I thought Majin Planet was. I befreinded Majin Planets new webmaster Corrupted Avatar and sought advice from him. However he did nothing but insult my site, my music videos, and my ideas. While I didn't realize it at the time this was his way of getting me motivated as he wanted to see what I could do (and he just thought it was funny). This seriously pissed me off at the time as I was working hard to reach my goal only to be shot down. So I decided I would make it my goal to out-do him with my next music video! He has just released a video called Unity and I decided I would do my damnedest to make a better version of that video. I failed misserably however. The video was horrible. I would later remake it, but for the time being I had failed my mission. I had somehow inadvertently earned Corrupted Avatars respect though and after that point we became freinds.
::. The VIDEO
First I had to find THE perfect song. While I was trying to outdo CA at his own game, I didn't want to use the same song. But the same band however.... now theres an idea (or atleast so I thought.) So instead of using the (then) new "Liberate" by Distrubed... I used the much older "Psycho" by Distrubed!!! See the connection!? See the brilliance in that idea!?!?! Neither do I. All the same at the time I thought it was money. Then, not having the VHS tapes I needed for the clips, I turned to the old reliable stand by of Dragon Ball Arena! However, things then were not as they are now. Sure sure, even back then they had TONS of clips of EVERYTHING Dragon Ball.... however back then they didn't have high quality clips. So I was stuck with a mix of Cartoon Network, Japaneses TV, and Italian (go figure) TV clips, all of which were lousy quality.
To make maters worse I went crazy with black, white, and inverted flashes almost non stop for 2 minutes to add to the poor timing and nonexistence lyrical progression of the video.
Triumph would return some day, completely re-done... but for time being, I had failed miserably in my goal to one up my old freind.
