  I found some pretty footage by Makoto Shinkai, and it made me want to use it. That's basically how this video came into being. :)
  
  This video is like my old amvs Ever Searching and The Calling in that it's mainly mood-based and doesn't try too hard to push a concept or story. I kept an overarching theme in mind while editing, but mainly I just let the music take the footage wherever it had to go.
  
  The music is a cover of the Flaming Lips song "Do You Realize??" by an up-and-coming band called The Reign of Kindo. For those of you who are familiar with This Day & Age, well, TRoK is basically the reincarination of TD&A. They have a different sound now, but it's still really great stuff. Check out their website or myspace to hear the full-length version of this song and more.
  
  The main challenge was that I had only about four minutes of footage total to work with, and much of that consisted of < 1 second clip flashes. Very pretty, but very hard to use in a video that's supposed to flow. There were also hard-coded credits that I had to magic away. In the end though, I think everything's turned out all right. This is actually one of my favorite projects to date.
  
  Special effects used: a bit of masking and some subtle Trapcode Shine that you'll hopefully never notice. ;]
  
  I dedicate this video to krzT as a belated birfday present. Since the TRoK album isn't coming out until August now, she'll just have to settle for this amv instead. :P
