• Comments: I've wanted to make a AMV for quite some time, but I've never had an idea where I thought "Wow, that'd be great!" until now. Soon after watching the entirety of Kanon (the remake), I was listening to some music and lo and behold "Far Away" starts playing. Being such a great anime, Kanon was still fresh in my mind... so everything just clicked.
  
  What ensued was a 'grueling' week-long planning session. This consisted of 45 minute drives to and from work listening to only Far Away and storyboarding in my head - trust me, that brings on quite a headache. Then with the majority of scenes more or less laid out in my head, I began actually sequencing on the weekend and afternoons, completing the AMV for its unveiling to friends for 'beta testing' a week later.
  
  After some spectacular comments, a few tears shed by a female reviewer (I'm not kidding), and a few transition tweaks - I bring you my first AMV, "Gone Far too Long".
  
  Note: There are big spoilers in this video... don't watch if you want the full experience of the anime!
  
  There are a few things fans of Kanon may question, so here is the method to my madness:
  The AMV features Motoko, Mai, and Ayu. I didn't include Shiori for lack of time, since she isn't really intertwined in the story as deeply as the others. To me she seems to be more of a reminder of the impermanence of things.
  As for the length of Motoko's section, Yuuichi doesn't fully appreciate her until a few episodes prior to her disappearing. So I wanted make her section seem a bit more sudden.
