A new one to another favorite song!
But let's get straight to the facts ...

Editing

It all began with a cut in the original audio.
Yes, I dared to take out a part to shorten the final product, mainly for the lack of footage I got from the movie and a little bit for personal liking. There is a little guitar solo part before the very last chorus that one might miss. You guessed it: That's where the cut was done.
Since my computer is a bitch about the newest edition of Adobe Premiere, but I really enjoy it's overall ease of use and modern outfit, I decided to use both this one, and the old but still gold 6.5 version.
With last mentioned I concentrated on all of the basic timing and fades, which sure was a great help. Have to admit that I really forgot how extremely fast editing can be with that rusty old piece. :P
Premiere Pro came into play whenever I was in need for effects. Gaussian blur, adding stills, working with transparent layers etc.
Photoshop played it's little but dependable part as well, nothing much to say besides.

First of all: I cancelled two projects that did not feature NGE during the second half of the last year.
So, taking the effective time of editing into account, I'm still in a good average ... i think. It's like 50:50 between videos featuring NGE footage and everything else. :P
What can I say about EoE? It sure is one intense final to one intense series. A rewriting of the original last two episodes, detailing the struggle before our beloved characters self reflection, ending pretty much the same way: open to interpretation.

Music | Pearl Jam - Love Reign O'er Me

The original version of this song was the brainchild of the legendary rock ensemble "The Who", a big
influence of Pearl Jams lead singer, Eddie Vedder. It is not the first cover the latter band
did in honor of Vedders (biggest, maybe?) idols. Fans will know that Pearl Jam use to cover songs like "Baba O'Reilly" or "Leaving Here" quite regularly during their massive live shows.
This one, however, was recorded for the OST of the tearjerking drama "Reign Over Me", that came out
only last year, starring Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. The extraordinary thing with that was, that this new
version as well as the original were parts of the soundtrack, taking somewhat of a lead role themselves in the movie, since they were the underlining theme in the life of the main character.
I highly recommend this movie. Especially the scenes that feature this song are great cinematic moments.
[ ::: Lyrics ]
Only love
Can make it rain
The way the beach
Is kissed by the sea
Only love
Can make it rain
Like the sweat of lovers
Layin' in the fields
Love
Reign o'er me
Love
Reign o'er me
Rain on me
Rain on me
Only love
Can bring the rain
That makes you yearn
To the sky
Only love
Can bring the rain
That falls like tears
From all high
Love
Reign o'er me
Rain on me
Rain on me
Love
Reign o'er me
Rain on me
Rain on me
On the dry and dusty road
The nights we spent apart alone
I need to get back home
To cool cool rain
I can't sleep and I lay and I think
The night is hot and black as ink
Woo Oh God I need a drink
Of cool cool rain
Love
Reign o'er me
Rain over me
Over me
Over me
Love
Reign o'er me
On me
Love...
