• Comments: When I first heard this song, I started thinking about which anime character most resembled the "dance commander". At first I thought Gendo, but then I decided Ilpalazzo had the right combination of serious authority figure and goofball. The video was a lot of fun to make because Excel Saga, particularly Excel herself, is so damn genki, and fanatical in her support of Ilpalazzo. I did 80% of it in one weekend, but ended up fiddling with it for about a month.
  
  There's a lot of lip sync in here, and I tried to get a lot of matching gestures to make it more realistic.
  
  There are a few jokes in here that are easier to appreciate if you are familiar with the series, e.g. Pedro's signature wail of "Noooo" has been changed to "Alright", and Ilpallazzo's guitar skills are considerably improved.
  
  You may notice that a couple of the scenes (the army guys, and Nabeshin running from the helicopter) look a little stretched. This is because that episode was done in letterboxed 16:9 instead of 4:3, so I had the choice of leaving the letterboxing in (which looked crap), stretching the frame, or cropping the edges. I opted for a little stretching and a little cropping.
  
  This was made with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. Premiere barely crashed at all !
  
  The short closing sequence was my first experiment with After Effects, so it's pretty basic.
