• Comments: Approximately one year ago, if you had mentioned this show "One Piece" to me, I had an immediate response ready. You see, I had seen a couple of episodes of it on Cartoon Network, and knew that it was the worst thing ever to air. Sure, 4Kids waters things down, but c'mon, how much could they have really done? Really that show sucked just because it was lame, right? The mere sight of that idiotic main character just made me angry. It was crap like this, I thought, that gave anime a bad name.
  
  ...Then I saw a video by the amazingly talented Istiv
  (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_myprofile.php?user_id=27839) called Kaizoku No Bouken 2 (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=120986) and all I could think was "That retarded main character suddenly looks so damned badass!"
  
  Needless to say, this piqued my curiosity about the series. After all, if someone as awesome as Istiv liked it, it couldn't be all bad, and that video just made it look so damned cool! So, I gave the first book of the manga a try...
  
  One year, 320 episodes, seven movies, a few specials, some shorts, and a LOT of merchandise later, I am inextricably hooked. NEVER has it felt so awesome to be proven to be a total and complete close-minded moron. This silly show with its ridiculous premise has some of the deepest characters, most amazing plots, most moving moments I've ever seen!
  
  And so, I dedicate this video to all my fellow morons. The premise of it is extremely simple. It shows, at the most basic level, what it is about One Piece that I love - the characters and their relationships. It focuses on Luffy and how he gained the first five members of his crew. And of course, how important the crew is. So if you or someone you know needs an introduction to the REAL One Piece, you could show them this video as a starter (Then move on to awesome vids like Kaizoku No Bouken 2 and Sail On. Seriously. They're awesome. Go download them now!)
  
  This is part 1, it has no Franky and very little Robin. I'd like to - if I find the right song down the line - actually go on and do a part 2 and add in the additional characters, but this will do for now.
  
  This video suffered a lot of drawbacks in the making. The file corrupted twice then my computer wouldn't let me export it. The final version of the sound is terrible. It's a testament to how much I wanted to see this video made that I persevered and finished it despite all the frustrations.
  
  So this is nothing much. Very simple. Unlike my last video ("Shall I live in Silence?" I'm very proud of it, but DAMN it was a lot of work!) That was a labor of art. This was a labor of love. Don't expect too much, but I hope you enjoy. That's what AMV's are all about!
