So i think i started this project right about the time i finished my previous video, The reason behind time gap is none other than : other things i had to focus on. So i forgot about this movie for a while until i found it a several months later. I was sure about the concept of it so i reinterpreted what i had done and continued form that point.
The concept is basically the story of Akira, focusing on Tetsuo and trying to capture the paranoia and sense of mental mayhem, hence the flashbacks and future sights . I think it ended up being some kind of character profile. The idea came along while listening to the music. It's kind of a sad ballad and i always thought of ballads as signifying the end of something, metaphorically speaking. The song is in portuguese ( it was a OST of some Richard Gere movie) and i will not translate it because i think you can capture the feeling just by the sound and because it wouldn't make sense if i translate it just because the metaphors would make sense in english. ANd you ask: Could this sound more lie a lamme excuse?. No it couldn't but it is the truth.
Things to consider now that its done
I think the movie suffers from a sudden quality change. At first (apart form that little intro with the still images) i think i used effects that just didn't suited. Maybe it's just me but i think you can tell what was done before and after my long break.
The effects- im just a a little kid in a candy store- still why not do an effect thats looks cool and its easy? That's what i thought , bring on the red flashing cape.
Why the long intro- well there is nothing going on in the song and it was less 40 seconds that i had to edit
