  • Comments: Welp, here I am again, posting my twelth complete anime music video. Assuming I've counted right. This video was done in adobe premiere, using the song "Close to Life," by "Swear on your Life." I think the band is coming out with a CD in September, but for now, you should be able to find them on myspace.

I'm not gonna go into where I first heard the song or how I got the idea to make the music video, 'cause that's too long and involved and self-gratifying. What I am going to say is that it is, to date, the most complex anime music video I've made. I've used more effects in this AMV than any other. I've paid more attention to the beats, and the rhythm, in this AMV. I have been careful to do this one to what is, from a practical stand point, the best of my ability.

Maybe it's sexist of me, but since this song is sung by a woman, I wanted to make the AMV to the song focus on a female. Hence, My HiME. While the video doesn't stick entirely to the plot, I feel it captures most of the feeling behind My HiME, especially with the repeating lyrics, "I need more." Mai wants more than her life of fighting, and hence... I had fun lip syncing that part of the song. That may be the point I'm the most pleased with.

Anyways, normally, I have something to complain about when I make an AMV. Something that went wrong in the process. Somethin' that slowed me down, screwed me up, or made me start over from the beginning. For once, I am pleased to report, that I had no major technical difficulties, and having now used Adobe Premiere to finish a seperate video, I went into this one knowing what I was dealing with much more thoroughly than before.

As such, I have a favor to ask of you. Yes, you.

Leave me an opinion. Something to go on. If you have constructive criticism, it's welcome, I'd love to hear back from you.

For those of you who don't leave me opinions, let your conscience forever remind you that you are a horrible, horrible person and you deserve to be eaten by rabid squirrels.
