  Yes, I can hear people clicking the 'Back' button now. I'm sure that quite a few are wondering why I'd create an Asuka-profile AMV when Kevin Caldwell's "Engel" is pretty much the definitive one. And I'd love to give a deep and meaningful answer, but really... Like most of my other AMVs, I heard the song and got the idea, and decided to do it.
  
  Now that it's over, I'm not worried about people thinking that I'm ripping off "Engel." As kickass and often-hilarious as that vid is, mine takes a very different approach to showing Asuka. I tried to really capture what makes her who she is, that "I'm going to be the best, I'm going to win, and fuck all the rest of you" mindset that drives her through the series and leads to her downfall.
  
  This, succinctly put, is not at all meant to be funny.
