  XIN is not your traditional Japanese anime. It's an "anime" that is one of a kind in my book due to it being the only anime strictly created for viewing on the internet. The only problem some may see with the series is the lack of good animation due to its sessions being created through Macromedia Flash.
  
  Since the first "Session" of the series premiered on Newgrounds in August of 2003 until the final session in June of 2006, I anticipated and loved every episode. Not only was the story completely original with a strong focus on character development, but viewers got to watch as the creators progressed in their skills with the program being used to draw the series.
  
  
  Making the AMV
  I had been wishing to use the songs featured in this AMV for some time now. When I finally found a way to convert .swf files to .avi files using a freeshare program, I decided that I would pay my respects to XIN since nobody else had really created a fan video that did the series any justice. So, I found the e-mail address for the creators of the series and sent them a message asking for permission to download, convert, and edit with footage from the XIN series. I received an e-mail back not only containing permission but enthusiasm and a request to keep them up-to-date on the status of the video.
  
  With that, I decided to take my first crack at an AMV. I had previous editing experience from creating gaming montages but I had never really used any footage outside of captured gameplay in a video. Lucky for me, I found clipping the episodes and working with the clips to run quite smooth and soon enough I was hooked on the getting the video done. Within two (2) weeks, I had the video completely done and was 100% satisfied with the results.
  
  
  The story of XIN
  *Possible spoiler alert*
  XIN is a series based around a time where a public school disciplinary system called the "Pillar System" has been implemented. With this system, minor to severe corporal punishment is allowed to be issued to misbehaving students. This system also enables the students to be elected, or simply feared, into a "Student Hierarchy". The student hierarchy, simply put, gives each school a specific captain that represents the toughest student in the school. However, with this creates the problem of other students wishing to engage the captain and rule the school.
  
  The first season of XIN takes place in Public High School 1368 while the second season takes place at Varron Academy. Both seasons link to each other with the first season focusing more on character development and the second season focusing on plot development. It's brutal at times, goofy at times, and contains a soundtrack featuring various pieces of tracks from animes such as Trigun.
