Gunslinger Girl is characterised by its slow pace and dark athmosphere but it does have a (very) few action scenes,so I wanted to use a song that would let me show those two sides of the anime.
i think "paranoid android" by radiohead has those two elements,most of the time it's a "slow and dark" song that would let me show that side of the anime,but on 2 occasions the song picks up speed which would let me show the action scenes.
Still,I felt like I would face a huge challenge:the song was 6min30sec long.
I think it's harder to hold the viewers attention for 6 minutes than holding it for 3,but that's not the biggest challenge.
The big challenge was that Gunslinger Girl is a short series (13 episodes) with,as i said above,very few action scenes,so with the lack of footage my fear was that i would run out of interesting clips to show.
I decided to go for it thinking it was a nice challenge,but did i pull it off?I guess it's up to you to decide.
