  Warning: This video contains ultra-massive spoilers regarding the Mai arc of Kanon.
  Also, you may experience slight reverberations at high volume if your speaker/headphone isn't particularly responsive to bass. I already tweaked this audio and this came from the CD, but I don't want to mess with how it sounds anymore than I already have, so enjoy it at a moderate volume. Apparently it messes up more in VLC than usual, so please take that into account.
  
  Inspired by OropherZero's Makoto character profile video, I set about to make this little piece which I thought came out better than most of my rush jobs.
  
  Anyway, it's a pretty straightforward character profile video. I was torn for a time whether I should highlight Mai's underlying happiness dwelling within her or not, but there was just far more drama and I guess in the end, this is really the best way to describe her, as a girl who feels she has no choice at times. Certain scenes in this video came as a shock to me when I was watching the show and though they are massively spoiling her story, I just couldn't help but use them, so I apologise now if this makes you go, "NUUU!"
  
  The video goes back and forth between flashbacks, normal scenes and magical/fantasy inserts that in the anime constructed who Mai was. I didn't particularly use these as they were in the anime, and to that purpose, when I wanted a bit of a shift in the narrative, I changed how the footage looked a bit to hopefully point that out, but at the end of it all, I guess I focussed more on what Mai did rather than what story she followed in the show.
