SH109 is the first SH video in a while, and the first in a while that was built entirely in the span of hours, let alone a single day. Of course, this was greatly enhanced by the fact that it's barely a minute long, and thus the editing time only ran about as long as the clipping time...which didn't have to gather as much source as might otherwise have been necessary.

There is no concept in this video. It is a pure lunatic action piece, trading exclusively on the abilities of the Mutekan cast to beat the everliving snot out of each other in extremely inventive and usually well-animated ways. This show had a very nice budget, and for once used the simple character designs to reroute cash into make them flip out and kill each other smoothly at full framerate. Well, about 12 fps, but since nearly every cut in this video has been double-timed, it might as well be full-frame.

Digital effects are mostly speed mods (all acceleration, of course), but there are a few flips and a couple quantized cuts done solely for effect. As action videos go these days, this is almost effectsless, but there's so much actual properly animated motion in this video that effects, in its 59 seconds of 'real' runtime, would be overkill and an overall negative influence.

Shin Hats Self-Grade: B+. This is one of the more intense videos I've ever done, but I'm not sure that I could sustain this kind of blasting over 3 or four minutes. This is ok, though, because Municipal Waste can't either.
stats: # cuts: 38. average length: 1.71 seconds. total time: 5 hours.

Notes: This video was completed, from music rip to final export, in less than 6 chronological hours. Time spent changing the Kreator and Hirax CDs in the player or drinking alternately Molson and bottled coffee was not counted as production time. You don't need to have recently consumed large amounts of alcohol and/or caffeine to get into this video, but it probably won't hurt any.

Final credits include a sample from Kreator's "Riot Of Violence" off the excellent Pleasure To Kill album.
