Happy Birthday Alexis!
The Beginning
Where should I start? I started this on August 17. I was playing around with vegas trying to look for AMV ideas when I came across the song "It Ends Tonight" by The All-American Rejects. I recently bought their CD in Canada. Sorry people, I had to use Naruto again. =P Naruto and Sasuke just seemed to fit the best. After hearing about it, Apple went crazy and told me to actually finish this one. (She loves Naru/Sasu AMV's). I began working on it and it was coming out pretty good. o_o Seriously, I was surprised. After a couple of days, school started and I got really lazy. I started this video called "Believe It!" that consists of random people saying "Believe it!" and pointing at the camera.
Plot
Plot? Umm...It's about Naruto and Sasuke. The whole AMV is based on Naruto dreaming about the good and bad times he had with his best bud Sasuke-kun. At the end, he wakes up from his flashback/dream. Can't make a Naruto video very original these days. -_- Oh well, I don't care. This is for Apple.
Reason for finishing..this video? and important info
I realized Apple's birthday is coming up and I just had to do something. Then bam! It came to me. I told her that I couldn't finish the video and that I was very sorry. I told her that I had finished the "Believe It" video and sent it to her when it was actually It Ends Tonight. She was so surprised that she cried. =( Awe. The reason the clip of my friend Rob saying "believe it" is at the beginning of the video was to throw Apple off. As you may notice, the song is really short. In reality, the song is actually 4 minutes. I had to cut some parts out to make it shorter because I didn't have enough time to make it that long. Also, the video contains some DVD footage. So there you have it! I finished it for my girlfriend's birthday.
Editing/Technical Stuff
Programs Used: Sony Vegas 6.0, Exact Audio Copy, DVD Decrypter, VirtualDubMod
Compression: 512x384 Xvid 1st pass, 192kbps Lame MP3 Audio
File Size: 45.4 MB (47,665,152 bytes)
The editing in this, in my opinion, is similar to We Are Heading Down. I didn't go crazy with effects. I just whored the blur and brightness/contrast effects.
Special Thanks
Ramon - let me borrow his Naruto DVD
Apple - Beta tester, Inspiration
Rob - For being a jerk =P
"It Ends Tonight" Lyrics
Your subtleties
They strangle me
I can’t explain myself at all.
And all the wants
And all the needs
All I don’t want to need at all.
The walls start breathing
My minds unweaving
Maybe it’s best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.
When darkness turns to light,
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
A falling star
Least I fall alone.
I can’t explain what you can’t explain.
You're finding things that you didn’t know
I look at you with such disdain
The walls start breathing
My minds unweaving
Maybe it’s best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.
[Chorus]
When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It’s too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends when darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It’s too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends when darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It’s too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Tonight, Inside
When darkness turns to light,
It ends tonight.
