Update- I've uploaded a new version of this video for several reasons. I've just figured how to work something out in a new program making the file size practically half of what it was, and in addition to this- there was something rather off about the video that I couldn't quite pinpoint until a QC really called attention to it. I decided it would really be worth it to just go ahead and fix the problem and re-upload the video, so there ya go.
I really enjoyed editing this video, as it was my first completely done in a program I'm still new to, excluding the final rendering. I tried my best to keep the video quality as clean as possible (trying to cut down on renderings and such) and I spent days trying to figure out avisynth, but no luck yet.
Featuring one of my favorite couples, and certainly one of my favorite Sailor Moon pairings, Usagi and Seiya. I don't mean to disrespect any diehard Usagi and Mamoru people, and I entirely understand the whole soulmate and destiny factor into all of that. Believe me, after sitting through all 200 episodes, I appreciate Usagi and Mamoru for what they are. But to me, Usagi and Seiya are just about 1000X more interesting (I did scientific tests to prove this.) Fans have got to admit...Seiya has a hell of a lot more personality and charm than Mamoru could ever hope to grasp. This combined with his/her undeniable chemistry with Usagi just pushes me to be a really big fan of their's (and of course the fact that fate and circumstances constantly tear them apart make for some really great stories.)
Some might argue that Seiya's being a girl half of the time (and possibly at her core) makes the relationship gay (3/4 gay?) or whatever...but I must say that it never occurs to me as anything abnormal. I don't see it as gay or straight or anything really. Just love. Plain and simple.
I did happen to focus more on Seiya's scenes as a man only because I needed quieter scenes for such a mellow song, and female Seiya tends to show up only during actiony type stuff. Simple, but I find it effective. I'm happy with the result. Finding the song was one of those great AMV moments for me, where I'd heard it completely by chance and by the second verse, I felt it would make a nice pairing with Usagi and Seiya.
This also marks my first time using a watermark as a result of the horrors of Youtube. Please, do not post my videos- even if you "credit" me (as I believe it should be for all AMVs on the org.) It may sound selfish or aggressive of me, but I've dealt with too much on that site to allow more people to pass around and completely take credit for my videos.
Lyrics-
What ravages of spirit
conjured this temptuous rage,
created you a monster,
broken by the rule of love?
And fate has led you through it.
You do what you have to do.
And fate has led you through it.
You do what you have to do.
And I have the sense to recognize
that I don't know how to let you go.
Every moment marked
with apparitions of your soul.
I'm ever swiftly moving,
trying to escape this desire,
the yearning to be near you.
I do what I have to do.
The yearning to be near you.
I do what I have to do.
and I have the sense to recognize
that I don't know how to let you go.
I don't know how to let you go.
A glowing ember, burning hot,
and burning slow.
Deep within, I'm shaken by the violence
of existing for only you.
I know I can't be with you.
I do what I have to do.
I know I can't be with you.
I do what I have to do.
And I have the sense to recognize
But I don't know how to let you go.
I don't know how to let you go.
