• Comments: In general, anime's magical girl genre focuses upon girls unsure of themselves in one or more ways and details their personal growth - often as these same girls are expected to fight evil, save the planet, or achieve some other lofty and noble cause. "If I Were Brave" is a perfect fit for many of these magical girl series and films, both in song content and in title. Card Captor Sakura: The Animated Movie was chosen simply because I already own it on DVD.
