  The avi is available to all those who don't want to bother getting a new codec. It's made with XviD and works like DivX5. Like many other people, though, the astounding quality and low sizes of the x264 encode has swayed me to use it. Until it becomes normal to have MP4 playback on your computer, however, I will always provide an AVI encode as well to ensure everyone can watch the movie. The AVI files will always be bigger because I try as hard as I can to maintain quality.

  This movie is finished. It is only 1:30 minutes long and it will always be so.
  
  MASSIVE SPOILERS LAST WARNING MASSIVE SPOILERS
  
  "Broken Covenant" is a character profile of Kuchiki Byakuya from the Bleach anime. It's only a minute and a half long, but I am still quite proud of it. The music is the last 1:34min of Limp Bizkit's cover of "Behind Blue Eyes" and the only episodes used to produce this video were 52-53, 54, 60, 61, and 62. There are no subtitles.
  
  The title: Inspiration for the title comes from Byakuya himself, rather than the song, footage, or theme of the piece. Kuchiki Byakuya is a very oath-bound man. Specifically, I refer to his oath to Hisana to find and care for Rukia as well as his oath to his dead parents to abide staunchly by the rules no matter what. Because of the conflicting nature of these oaths at the time of the series, he ends up breaking them both by the end of the Soul Society arc. I chose "covenant" instead of "oath" because it specifically means "A promise in an indenture, or any other formal debt agreement, that certain activities will or will not be carried out."
  
  Concept: The movie itself is in three fairly distinct parts, but as a whole depicts Byakuya from the beginning of the Soul Society arc through to the end.
  
  The first half minute of the AMV is somewhat sporatic and chaotic, as it shows the past and the present interwoven in a chaotic spree of footage. This is to represent Byakuya's life and frame of mind. It goes by fast, but things stand out and a lot of stuff happens. Essentially, it's to show that beneath his exterior, there's a lot on his mind.
  
  The second 30 second split of footage is rememberance. It shows the past with his wife, as well as Rukia's and, by default, Renji and Ichigo's interwoven history with her. This part was done mainly to wrap together the concept of grieving, pushing forward, looking back, and simply trying to get through everything. This is especially pertinent in the "I wish it were all that easy" section of the movie, wherein each refrain shows someone /else/ saving Rukia. For Byakuya, he cannot simply rescue her, or at least thinks as much, and therefore contests those who attempt it.
  
  The last third of the movie recaps what happens in mostly chronological order. It plays like the epilogue the first ten seconds of the movie show. His match with Renji, interspersed with memories of Rukia. His match with Ichigo crossed, again, with Rukia, and finally his decision to step in on her behalf and, finally, his apology to her. It ends with the image of Byakuya laying bloodied but not broken beside Rukia for a sense of finality. A part of his life has finally come to an end.
  
  All in all I am very happy with how this turned out and would enjoy hearing comments and critisism both technical and aesthetic on this video. I hope you enjoy it.
  
  I have been informed that the actual song is "All That Easy" which is appearantly a hidden track rather than another part of "Behind Blue Eyes". Please take note of this, but as it is on the same track I'm leaving the information the same.
