    SERIOUS (and I mean SERIOUS) SPOILERS!!!

    I couldn't believe this anime and this song hadn't been together yet. It just seemed so natural given the storyline and Don McLean's lyrics.

    I did chop up the lyrics a little bit ("American Pie" is a NINE MINUTE song! Yikes!), and made sure to put in the lyrics at the end that never really get played anymore (ironic considering the song...). So, if they are unfamiliar to you, enjoy! It's my favorite part of the song!

    Again, I pulled from AVI with WMM2, edited and synched with Premiere, and cutouts with Photoshop.
