I've been wanting to sit down and make a decent video to Malice Mizer's "Illuminati" for a long while now... but the problem was finding footage that fit the song appropriately. Malice Mizer has such a distinct sound to them that I had to be careful when choosing...
Eventually -- I narrowed my selection down to "Serial Experiments Lain", "Utena", and "Perfect Blue". I just ruled out Utena all together when I thought hard about it... didn't fit the song as well as it could. I hadn't seen all of Lain either, so I decided to go with Perfect Blue. Over all, I'm extremely glad I did -- because this video turned out even better than I had expected it to. XD
