• Comments: This AMV is my third, but at the same time, it's my first. The very first AMV I made, I didn't know how to use premiere, so it was just video over audio with almost no editing. I made my second AMV after learning the software, but it is currently incomplete. That makes this one my third overall, but my first because it is the first completed AMV, after I learned to use premeire.
  
  I love Green Day and Chobits. During the radio saturation earlier this year of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," Chobits came to mind while listening to the song for the umpteenth time. At that time I did not know how to use premiere, but I've kept it in mind since.
  
  Fast forward to today. I've learned some video editing and I was finally able to finish my idea from over 6 months ago.
  
  Technical notes:
  Chobits has a lot of "natural" video effects such as cross fading, wipes, etc. I tried to use them as much as I could. I did use the premiere effects, but only where I felt they fit well with the song and video. Also, I tried as much a possible to keep the overall drearyness, despair and story line of the song and anime in tact.
  
  Uploading notes:
  The original file size is about 600MB. I used Virtual Dub, which I am unfamiliar with, to compress the file for upload. The uncompressed AMV footage is ripped from DVD and clear as day. Video quality was lost after compressing it for uplaod. My apologies that the quality isn't perfect and it pixelates slightly. I have not figured out how to fix this yet. In fact if you know how, I would welcome some help.
