  • Comments: I believe this was the second AMV I produced, and thus far it has been the one that has garnered the most praise. I view it as my defining moment in AMV history.

    This won "Best Music Video" at ChibiCon waaaaay back in 1991, I think.

    Two comments that stand out about it was that it made Lorraine Savage of The Rose cry, and that E.K. says it's an old school classic. So take that for what you will.

    I remastered this in 1998, making a few changes that make it different from its original incarnation. Mostly small timing tweaks and substitutions to make it flow better, but otherwise it's pretty much the same as it was over a decade ago.

    The bit of on-the-beat synchro for the God Warrior's beam striking the Ohmu stampede was dead-on from the very start. It timed up perfectly on the very first edit. Coming on the heels of the lyrical match for "For now you have the power/the guns and all the swords" just makes it an even more powerful sequence.
