  The idea : This video was created for the smahut challenge (ie a kind of challenge between members of the smahut team using the same song with the same anime). We had a week to realise our video and then we should mix them together in order to take the best scenes of each video clip on the final mix.
  
  The song chosen was Into the fire by thirteen senses, a band i didn't know before nestie introduced me. First time i listened the song i directly thinking about a mix between the OVAs of kenshin and the series peace maker kurogane like i did on my Bakumatsu no futatsu enbun video but unfornately nestie didn't like this series and so we decided to edit it only on kenshin's OVAs to keep the same aspect between differents amv...
  
  
  Good, we have decided about the anime and the song, now everybody must have the same footage ^^;
  There was no problem for the mp3 (a ~03:30 mp3 file isn't that big) but the problem was for the video files. Fornately, nestie had the original dvd of kenshin OVAs 1-4 so wa had the footage except DK who's not living at the same place....
  So I decided to rip the dvd and compress the vobs in order to reduce their size (the original size was 7.89GB); After compression, the final size was ~4Gb with a very very good quality and then we decided to send the vobs to DK, with the avs file i made because the original vobs were blended and we had to use the same filter to remove the blends otherwise the result would be weird.

  The amv : I decided to make my whole amv on the character of kenshin, using scenes of happiness and other scenes showing shinta crying. I would like to show exactly the mentality of this character, sometimes violent, sometimes pensive, sometimes sad, and his relationship with tomoe.
  I tried to show in a first time the weird relationship between the two main characters and the glance of each one on the other and to conclude but the fall of tomoe and her eternal love for kenshin.
  However, i didn't want to make a copy of my bakumatsu no futatsu enbun (ie showing only their love relationship on a full romance video) but i wanted to also show the feelings of kenshin about tomoe and about his "art" of samurai. Nevertheless, it was hard to show this exactly and trying to synch the lyrics and the beats of the song. In fact, there are some differents beats on the song and i also tried to make the best synch i can in order to not borring the viewer; that's the main reason for the end of my amv which is very quick.

  Editing soft used : Adobe premiere pro and adobe after effect (for adding some effects and make my rotos)
  compression : XviD 1 (compatible DivX50) codec
  Lame mp3 178kbps 44100Hz AVG bitrate
  23.976 fps (lenght : 03:52)
  The Local version has a better video quality but the direct version is quite good too.
