• Comments: This is a fun little video. It premired in AWA Pro's contest but is now finally available here. I've been wanting to do a Legend of Black Heaven video for a long time, but various ideas always fell through. I finally settled on this song as it was an old favorite of mine and there aren't enough Violent Femmes videos out there. :)
  
  The video is synced up fairly well for what it is... a Black Heaven video. Black Heaven if you didn't know is basically a slideshow anime at times making videos hard and making anything musical about the show almost impossible to sync.
  
  At one point during creation I thought "I should sync up the guitar playing to real notes and make it all work like that!"... but thats hard if not impossible to do when the creators of the show didn't even bother to do that. Worse than that the actual notes and playing vary so much that you usually don't see anything consistant to string together even on your own.
  
  So I had to fudge it a bit because of the limitations of the footage.
  
  The video was captured from dvd using a Pinnacle DV 500, and put together in adobe premire.
  
  Xvid is the codec used for encoding and thanks to both Beowulf and Doughboy for their assistance in encoding. I couldn't have gotten it looking so nice without both of you leading me blind through the process.
