This is a remastering and slight re-edit of a previous Melodies of Life video which I had made from mpegs downloaded from www.ffmovies.com. The original is probably still on Waldo's FTP server and mirrors that exist.
This new version has much much better video quality because the clips were captured by myself from my playstation onto my DV camera and then brought into my computer through firewire. I edited the video using Final Cut Pro and created the MPEG using Media Cleaner Pro 4.
Originally this video was partially made because a friend of mine said I never made any sort of Final Fantasy video using Final Fantasy music so that was why I chose this music. Also, I figured since someone made a Final Fantasy VIII video set to its theme, then why shouldn't someone make a Final Fantasy IX video set to Melodies of Life? No, not very original, but I don't really care.
This video contains massive Spoilers (the ending and very key plot points) so it's targeted towards people who have played the game. This works I think as an abridgment of the video. I have several music cues in the song which I hope give the video some good flow and keeps the viewer interested. I didn't use any digital effects except for cross fades and some white flashes, because frankly I really hate most digital effects that some people use when they first get a video editing system and see all the filters available.
