This video's original purpose was to be a favor for a friend and his band, but it turned into something I truely value as one of my favorite and most fun works. At Midnight, although I'm not neccessarily the biggest fan of the pop-punish style of the vocals, is definately a quality band with a lot of potential. I highly suggest you check out their site (the url can be found at the end of the video) and look into getting ahold of their album.

Moving on to specificities of the video itself, I guess I don't know exactly why I chose Hellsing. I haven't used it in a while, so maybe this was a subliminal desire to get back to my editing roots. It also may have had something to do with the fact that Halloween is right around to corner, whatever. Regardless, the video's central focus is, of course, action. However, there is a nice sub plot involving Alucard's relationship with Ceres, and her fear and inevitable transformation into a "Monster". I chose to only use the first two dvds namely because I feel the first half of the anime is a lot better than the 2nd (even though the second half DOES have some badass vid moments). The violin section is the most clearly drama based part of the video, but for the most part it's just character introduction, fights, and closure. There aren't any real spoilers aside from the ending of episode 6, so the vid is pretty safe viewing even if you haven't seen Hellsing.

Well, that's about it, I hope you like the vid and check out more stuff from At Midnight!
