• Comments: My friend jescaflowne introduced me to the band Keane, and Somewhere Only We Know was one of the first songs I heard by them. I fell in love with the song instantly, and began coming up with video ideas right away. My original idea was to make a live action video using the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...but that was still months away from being released on DVD, and I wanted to have a new video for AWA.
  
  I started working on a version of the video using Spirited Away. About a minute in, I changed my mind and decided to use Princess Mononoke instead. After a couple of frustrating weeks of editing, I realized there simply wasn't enough San/Ashitaka footage in the movie to make a compelling drama/romance video about them. I was getting rather frustrated with the video and didn't really know what to do about it...until Absolute Destiny suggested using BOTH films...and what the hell, throw in Laputa as well. So, using both my Spirited Away and Mononoke betas as guides, I remade the video from the ground up, using all three sources. Editing went a lot smoother that time around, though in the end, the video was still cobbled together rather haphazardly in order to be able to meet the deadline. There's probably a better video to be made with the song, and I guess someone else will have to be the one to do it.
