  • Comments: First off, I'd just like to state that Fruits Basket is one of the best anime I've ever seen, from the first episode down to the last. As I was starting this vid, I had the general idea of showing how the Sohma family curse affected its members.
    It wasn't until I was halfway done that it hit me how very messed up these character's lives are. The curse effectively creates a chasm between them and everyone else. They're forever on the outside looking in. The end product you're about to see focuses on that isolation which can only exacerbated when you have someone like Akito heading your family
