  • Comments: This is my first video. For the most part it came together during the course of a day, when I got excited realising I could make my own vids. I went back a few days later and prettied it up a little, as best I could with my limited understanding of these fields.

Okay, so Final Fantasy has been done many, many times before, but hey, I'm not here to break new ground. FF is what I have, FF is what I'm fond of, and FF is what I used. You've probably seen it all before, but maybe not like this (and maybe you didn't want to, but :P to you).

Choosing a song was easy. I've an active imagination and rarely does a fave song go by where I don't pause and let the music induce images of fancy. I always felt Stan Bush's 'Dare', which features on 'The Transformers: The Movie' soundtrack, had great promise for creating an exciting musical backdrop to a scene of tension and finally triumph. Or as Kegs(8487) said: "... to showcase the scenes where all seemed lost for the heroes but they pulled through". I feel I've matched high points in the music with the selected scenes really well, particularly during the dual -- this worked extremely well, far better than anything I could have hoped for...

Unfortunately, even I will readily admit I became clueless with how to proceed after this point. Again, my resources are limited, and I was keen to finish it off. The other things you'll notice are the rather lengthy sequences. Did I mention this was my first video? Besides, they timed so well I didn't have the heart to disturb the flow.

I used Windows Movie Maker to compile the video, and was more than a little pleasantly surprised to find the final product came in at a mere 10Mb (Iím well aware of the quality issue). I will probably continue to use WMM for ease of use and simple lack of knowledge of the existence of other programs. If you would like to point me in a more worthwhile direction, please leave a comment or contact me.

Overall, I'm really happy with it as a first effort. I don't intend to break new ground, just to have some fun. Leave a comment, if you will. I'd appreciate it. Really, I mean it. I need to know if anyone's checking this out. Tips, constructive criticism - don't leave me out in the cold people.

    Thanks for your time.
