  • Comments: This video was a long time in the making... I dropped the project more than once, only to think through the issues that caused me to drop it, and then to pick it up again at a later time.

I began to envision the concept long before the Metropolis DVD even had a release date, and a friend of mine bought me the DVD specifically so that I could create this video. (Thanks again, Dave... sorry it took so long to make the video. ^^;;;)

After completing and releasing the first part of the video (the portion done to "Twilight") I was tired of editing and decided to release the video, wanting to move on to other things. However, as time passed, I came to realize that I was not satisfied leaving the project half-finished. After some time, I continued the project from where I'd left off, completing it as I had originally intended to: with the complete "Prologue" as well as the full song "Yours Truly, 2095." I also added a fitting title sequence.

I made this piece in the way I envisioned it. I never once changed the concept when I realized that this piece would seem "odd" to people, and I realize that the finished work may not be easily understood.

To anyone who doesn't want to think about what they watch: Go download Renegade Megadeus. You'd enjoy it more than you would this. :-P

To answer the most frequently-asked question: I didn't see the Daicon IV animation until Urban Ragnarok was nearly finished, so, no, it played no part in Urban Ragnarok's development and it was not a source of inspiration.
