• Comments: I watched all of Cowboy Bebop for the first time during my 2001 summer vacation and loved every minute of it. I bought the entire collection I liked it so much, and I've noticed that there are a million Cowboy Bebop music videos out there, but when I asked around and did some browsing it seemed like there weren't many that stuck out, and most of them seemed to be action oriented or dealing with Spike's past which is understandable.
  
  But I chose to do one focusing on Faye Valentine 'cause I love her character and yes, she is sexy, but I chose to shy away from the clips that seem to draw your eyes towards her sexual appeal because I was more interested in how she slowly learns to deal with her past which is a part of the story that I loved.
  
  So since I have few musical resources I chose Aimee Mann's "Wise Up" which I first heard when I saw "Magnolia" and luckily there's only one video here which used an Aimee Mann song so I figured if I didn't get points for originality on anime, then maybe for music.
  
  On the technical side, I captured the video from DVD using an Aurora Fuse video capture card and then converted it into MPEG using Media Cleaner Pro, and edited on Final Cut Pro. This was also a small experiment in using mattes because there were clips I used where Faye was talking but I used transparencies to superimpose clips where her mouth was closed so it wouldn't be distracting.

  I recently rewatched this video after not having seen it for months upon months because it doesn't stack up too well to some of my other videos but it actually wasn't as bad as I remembered it. Some reviews I had received thought it was boring but I still like the tone the video creates. A few rough spots here and there I wish I hadn't put in but overall I think it's a pretty good video.
  
  Not too many Faye Valentine videos have her more introspective side, though I've seen ensemble videos which do it quite well. So download it if it sounds interesting to you.
