I had been waiting for just the right song to use for Tenshi Ni Narumon, and it didn't take me long after hearing the song to realize it was perfect. Someone on Youtube, who I think is amazing, posted this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ84nItpvVY. I want to give them credit because it totally inspired me.
The story follows Natsumi, who is mourning the loss of her brother. At first I hated her and thought she was bitter over nothing, but the more I got to know her the more attatched I became. This song works for her because even without her brother she can be strong and beautiful, but because she can't get past what happened, she can't realize her own potential and live for herself. Their relationship was really interesting. You could tell her brother had moved on and wanted her to move on and be happy as well, but from her point of view he was everything to her. He's all that she thinks about. So this video is also about letting go, or at least trying to.
I'm kind of surprised that I chose Natsumi instead of Noel as the main character for the AMV because she is not as prominant, but she still plays an important role, so even though there are some really nice shots that I didn't get to use, I encourage anyone who's curious about the anime to give it a watch because there's lots more where that came from!
The reason I did such a literal translation with the word "angel" is because I didn't want to confuse the message with a religious one. In the end I'm happy with the overall mood/effects.
