• Comments: I’ve always wanted to mess around with a Bob Seger song, but coupling it with anime turned out to be a tricky thing, until I started watching Hell Girl on IFC. I got addicted to the show right away for its suspense and beautiful artwork, and of course the horror element. Stories about the afterlife have always fascinated me like The Devine Comedy and Paradise Lost, so I got pretty involved with this project.
  
  The basic setup for this AMV is really a montage of how each character goes through the stages of Hell Correspondence: 1. Abuse 2. Overhearing Rumors 3. HellCorrespondence.com 4. Meeting with Ai (and the explanation of vengeance) 5. Pulling the Doll’s Thread 6. Boat Ride to Hell. However, I also matched as many visual cues to the lyrics of “Fire Down Below” as I could find. Of course in that respect some lyrics worked better than others like, “Here come the men faces hidden from the light” or “Somewhere there's somebody ain't treatin' somebody right”.
  
  Side Note: I’ve heard a rumor that the meaning behind this song is actually about venereal diseases, no joke.
