  • Comments: Well, it's been a while since I last finished a vid (almost 3 months to be precise), which was simply due to a lack of inspiration and (animé) source. So, the other day I was listening to some electronic music and came across this song by Apollo 440. I immediately thought of Ghost in the Shell (even the song title itself is pretty much the essence of GitS inverted, lol).
While the band is not unheard-of on this site, this particular song has never been used before, so I decided to start working on this project, as the animé/song combination seemed quite solid and worth a try. I guess the film(s) would've worked as well (or even a little better) here, but the Stand Alone Complex series was my only available source at that moment and I already did an AMV to the second movie, too.
At any rate, this video turned out to be mostly an experiment for me, since I don't often edit to instrumental tracks and because I was attempting to place emphasis on the mood for this video, trying out different things in terms of editing than usual. I consider the atmosphere of the song pretty calm and even-tempered (for the most part), so I was trying to complement that in the edits. As for the actual point of this vid, I think it's just pure postcyberpunk. :P Also, if you're wondering, I got the title ("Ghost Coast") from chapter 11 of Masamune Shirow's original manga "Ghost in the Shell".

Last but not least, I hope you enjoy and leave some kind of feedback, if possible, after downloading.

    None. :P

By the way, if you can't view the local .mp4, I'd suggest you getting VLC or KMPlayer. :)
