  • Comments: One more kurofai video...I swear, I didn’t mean to make it, it just happened! ^^’ What’s more, this one wasn’t originally my idea. My friend came up with it and tried a few times to put the music together with kurofai clips, but eventually decided she was dissatisfied with it, and had me take this concept over. I didn’t object much, because I truly love this song, it means so much to me... and I thought it would be really ingenious to link kurofai with these lyrics, so full of apprehension, bitterness, and – well – angst.
The scenery depicted in this amv refers to the time right after Tokyo Revelations. The outline goes like this: put among his co-travellers, Fai ( aka Yuui ) does his best to keep his distance. He doesn’t want anyone to interfere with his life, or to get close to him. The story of his life is more often than not the story of hurting. His past hurts, his present hurts, and most likely his future is going to hurt even more, as he is believed to be a cursed existence. Unwilling to cause misfortune yet again to anyone dear to him, he shuns those around him, and hides all of his pain well behind that pretty, joyful smile. But Kurogane is the one who can see through all of this, and he begins to care for the magician in spite of the rather sneaky, insincere ways of the latter. Before Fai can notice what’s going on, it’s already too late. He finds the two of them alarmingly close to each other, bound by unspoken but deep mutual understanding, and the need of being there for each other. Now that the things have gone too far and no matter the price, Kurogane won’t let Fai go, Fai suddenly realizes two horryfying things. The first is that Kurogane has already suffered much and doomed himself to even more suffering because of Fai. The other is that it seems all of Fai’s cautiousness has been in vain, since Fai actually feels for Kurogane and deep down inside he yearns to be right beside him, regardless of the consequences that might ( or should ) be.
Thus, Fai is left with only one thing to ask of Kurogane, which is another chance. Another chance...to run away from him.

This time I used a Polish song, too, so I decided to attach my translation of the song into English in the form of subtitles. I hope it’s going to work out well ^^’. It’s very important to me that every viewer can follow the meaning of the song directly with the footage, or in other words –put what they see and hear together into one clear sense. This time I managed to reduce the amount of hardsubs as much as possible, so at least there’s some improvement in the aesthetical way...or so I hope. ^^’
    Have fun!

    ...
And here’s the rough translation of the lyrics in its written form:

I’m not going to argue anymore
It’s not like I can ever be right
And to think it would seem that
    We aren’t well – matched

    After all, the worst is
    That disappointment of yours
I know, I forgot to tell you
    I’m in love

    So you’d better kill me
    Ban from your memory
    You’d better go
    Let me go
    You’d better forget
    Let me forget
You’d better give me another chance

    I know
    You need something that I
    May never give you
It’s not because I don’t want to give it to you
But because I don’t have it myself

    After all, the worst is
    That disappointment of yours
I know, I forgot to tell you
    I’m in love

    So you’d better kill me
    Ban from your memory
    You’d better go
    Let me go
    You’d better forget
    Let me forget
You’d better give me another chance

    So you’d better kill me
    Ban from your memory
    You’d better go
    Let me go
    You’d better forget
    Let me forget
So you’d better give me another chance
