  In Fatal Frame 3, the protagonist Rei has lost her fiance Yuu in a car accident. Most of the gameplay takes place in her dreams, where she is lured into a haunted mansion by a vision of Yuu. Her quest to be reunited with her lover drives the plot, which of course revolves around an ancient ritual gone awry.
  
  I got the idea to use In Dreams while watching Blue Velvet, in which the ballad is given a sinister new meaning by the psychotic Frank Booth, played by Dennis Hopper. This video is also a little bit twisted; as with the song, Rei's dreams allow her to see her lover, but the rest of the dreams are far from "beautiful". The "Candy Colored Clown" is represented in the video by the malevolent Reika, who curses Rei with the blue tattoos. I also take the liberty of using Yuu and Kaname (Reika's lover) interchangably. The scene at the end of the video, in which Rei is staked by the shrine maidens, is particularly disturbing. Hope all you horror fans enjoy it.
  
  The footage was ripped directly from the PS2 disc using Castor Troy's awesome guide. It is presented in its native resolution of the mpg files, 640x448.
  
  There's some nasty color quantization (where a very gradual color gradient turns into bands of distinct color), but it's even on the source.
