Quick Description: An interesting ride through Rayearth dvd 5.
Bouncy Lively AMV
Story behind the video:
I was recently given the Rayearth 5 dvd...
by accident. My friend returned a couple of my dvds and this
one was in the bag. (someone out there is missing a rayearth 5 now!)
So ... being the insane individual that I am... I thought... hmm I
should make an amv from an anime I have never seen, and wouldn't
have any clue what the story is or what any of the spoilers are. So I
ripped the dvd and cut a pile of clips and decided to go with the
Boogie Nights cd to supply the audio. I must admit I was impressed
with the amount of very interesting/eye catching footage. These four
episodes were loaded with good clips. Although... I dunno if they are
spoilers... haha I kind of assume they are as I saw there were a few
surprises as I slid through the footage. I still have not watched the
DVD... who needs dialogue? :P Though since I looked up the disc ... it
is the final one of the season... so uhm... it is fairly likely that
this video has some spoilers.
Video content notes:
-------------------
1 - This video is dedicated to my love of the Rayearth series...
whatever it's about... hehe.
2 - There is a section later in the video that has much slower editing
etc... this of course was intentional as the pace of the song allowed
me to use some of the slower clips that are wonderfully animated.
3 - I opted to end the video without syncing the final set of drums...
it just didn't seem to fit well with the slow down I was going for. I
think it works out fine.
4 - I think when it comes down to it... this video is meant to be pure
fun. I had a blast making it and coming up with weird things... the
strange thing is that although it's flashy and bouncy... it does kind
of follow a story... even in the end of the video... :P Most of the
big spoilers are missing (or so I think) but I think it's still kind
of obvious... "gee what's gonna happen next??"
5 - The intro was quickly put together... using a song that isn't on
the boogie nights soundtrack... Boogie Nights by Heatwave.
6 - Sorry there is no actual dancing in the video... :P Just the little puffball
jumping on occasion. =)
Technical notes:
---------------
1 - Fun with motion!
2 - Fun with bouncing bunny thing on a green background! Thanks to
premiere's RGB difference... since green screen doesn't do so well.
3 - Fun with invert... and strobing etc etc.
4 - There was probably something new that I learned while making this
video...
5 - So here's the update for #4... I MUST remember to deinterlace the footage
before using motion within premiere... otherwise there is no chance that a
deinterlace process will work correctly... always learning something new! :P
6 - I went with a slightly lower vbr rate with this video... I am trying to cut back
on the huge video sizes haha... I may experiment with a xvid/divx encode... if
it doesn't destroy my counter like it has in the past...
7 - I found the quality of the DVD to be kind of lacking... but it is an older anime,
so it's no huge shock.
... if I think of anything else I will add it ...
Enjoy the Video! =)
