This is my first AMV and it features the anime movie Cardcaptors: the Movie and the song "Dreams To Dream" from An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.
All footage used in this AMV was ripped from my own copy of the movie on dvd and edited using Adobe Premiere 6.5 and Adobe Photoshop 7.0. A lot of the photoshop work was done to remove the ever constant lip flap that plagued almost the entire amv - hopefully I did a good job of this, I was rather proud that I figured it out on my own ^^
The idea for this video has it's roots set a few years ago from when I was in high school. My best friend and I were big fans of the Cardcaptors series but neither of us could get our hands on the movie. Hence whenever a website we encountered referred to the movie at all we stated that it was "just a dream" followed by much giggling. One day recently I decided to watch the movie on my laptop and the story came back to me making me giggle with nostaligia when it hit me - I'd been teaching myself to make videos all year, why not a Cardcaptors one? The music directory was opened and scanned through when my eye caught "Dreams To Dream" - a song I'd forgotten lurked in my collection. The night I started ripping and the rest, as they say, is history.
When making the AMV I realised I didn't want to tell the whole story of the movie - in my opinion it would seem rushed and awkward to me so I decided on a different approach of showing a young girl in her dream world and wishing to share it with her best friend.
