This is the 2 Year Anniversary video I made for my local anime club, Miso Anime. I used all the anime series and movies, except for one, shown during the last year as well as video footage taken at the club and various club events. After reviewing the previous year's video, I really wanted to step it up and make a longer video that really showcased both the anime and the club equally unlike the year before where I didn't have much footage from the club so there was more anime used in the video. I feel I achieved this not because I made a 14 minute and 4 second video but because I used different songs of different tempo and beat to help highlight the different moods and genres of the shows as well as to help keep the audience captivated enough to forget they'd been watching the same video for 14 minutes and 4 seconds. I think it was a success judging by how everyone there that night and subsequent nights have called for repeat viewings over and over. It kind of makes an AMV creator all warm and fuzzy on the inside. Other than that, I'll let the video "speak" for itself.
As for the technical side of things, after getting all the footage and music ready two weeks prior to beginning the editing, I spent over 40 hours in one week (on top of working about 50 hours at my job) getting this video done in time for it to premiere on that particular Saturday night. I literally worked up until the deadline editing, exporting, compressing, fixing, exporting again, compressing again and finally arriving at the club 30 minutes before it was slated to premiere. It was exciting and frustrating all at the same time. I don't think I really need to list my equipment, it's all basically same as the next guy's. I used Ermac's AMVapp and tech guide on a middle of the road computer using Premiere Pro (which crashed my computer every 30 minutes just about). But no worries, it got done in time, the crowd loved it, and I'm proud of it.
