  • Profile: I'm one of the founding triumvirate of the writing group "Crackbunny Syndrome" (see my homepage). Making AMVs is a hobby that I generally reward myself with whenever I accomplish a writing goal. Most often, the video is either action-oriented or just plain crack, and I blame my twisted sense of humor on that.

I am an incurable FMA-addict, so this is what you'll see the most of from me. At this time, I'm not interested in contests or becoming a professional editor --however, I plan to attend school in the next year to become Adobe Certified, so all that might change.

    Applications that I use:

Cool Edit Pro for editing the music (if need be), and for the finer timing points in the construction of the AMVs.

Ulead VideoStudio8 for editing the clips. It's only one step above WMM, guys. I don't recommend it. I'm sure that it was made mostly for end-users who want to put together videos of their kids and little more. It's slow, cantankerous, and NOT flexible. However, I am currently too poor to get my hands on any of the Adobe products, so I make do. I have managed to bend this program -mostly- to my will, but there are some things it just will not do, so therefore the AMVs you see from me have no SFX. Transitions, filters, yes. But overlays, lip synching, etc... forget it. Ain't gunna happen.

With each new video I make, I learn a little more, and I am very open to constructive crits (I'm a much better writer!).

UPDATE: It appears that a couple of people have uploaded one of my AMVs to YouTube recently. While this is flattering (even though the particular AMV in question is NOT one of my better ones), please keep in mind that I -already- have an account at YouTube (and my name on that account, ironically enough, is Heathenesque as well), and upload my AMVs there, first. It's not so much as I mind on a personal level, as long as proper credit is given, but that having one (admittedly BAD) AMV uploaded in three different places on the same site is a waste of bandwidth and effort. I appreciate that you might want more people to see something you find wonderful. And it makes me feel good that you like my stuff... HOWEVER, that is what the "send" and "bulletin" options are for, and neither of those options waste bandwidth.

    Thank you.

This is the order I made the videos (Not necessarily the order they were uploaded):

    Kung-Fu FMA
    Land of Confusion
    FMA Men Are Too Sexy
    The Mental Side of War
    Triangle Man
    Nothing I Won't Give
    Hughes' Clues (Not brain-safe!)
    Holding Out for a Hero
    Things Have Changed

If you want to see the stories I and the rest of "Crackbunny Syndrome" have written, please visit my homepage at: http://members.cox.net/short_obsession1/

(And if you had tried to get in over the past few days and got a 404 forbidden error, my apologies. The website is fixed and updated, but still under construction in places)
