- Profile: At AX94 I walked past a video room showing an AMV with Record of Lodoss War set to Enya's Book of Days. After a few years I tracked down someone with a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of the video along with many other AMVs. (I never could track down who made the Enya/Lodoss video.) That first video sparked something inside me and I knew I had to make my own someday if I ever had the means. It was a creative urge I never could supress and so far I've made 5 videos, 4 of which I entered at cons.
I have no formal training in any of the editing stuff, so my videos aren't fancy. Still, my videos mix audio and video to create an expression from within me and thats what is important to me. The best thing about making AMVs is when someone watching one of my videos smiles, laughs or claps.
My current equipment is a PIII/700 with a Pinnacle DV500 and Adobe Premiere. (My first 3 videos were made with the Matrox RainbowRunner) Most of my source video is from import LDs and a bit from DVD.
All of the credit for my videos belongs to the original anime and music artists who created the sources I use. They make the magic ingredients, I just mix them together.
